Medhat Khalil

Mr. Medhat Mohamed Ibrahim Khalil is a visionary leader who has dedicated his career to shaping the trajectory of Raya Holding and its subsidiaries. Graduating from Cairo University's Faculty of Commerce in 1977, he embarked on a journey that led him to senior roles at IBM before founding Protech and Oratech in 1993 and 1997, respectively. These companies later merged to form Raya Holding, where Khalil has served as Chairman of the Board of Directors and Managing Director since 1999.

Under his leadership, Raya Holding has experienced exponential growth, with subsidiaries' business volume soaring from EGP 88 million in 1999 to over EGP 31.3 billion in 2023, accompanied by a workforce expansion from 285 individuals to more than 18,000 highly specialized professionals.

Beyond his corporate endeavors, Engineer Khalil has held prominent positions in esteemed organizations such as the Smart Villages Company and the Egyptian American Economic Council. He is actively engaged in various sports, community, and charitable activities, serving on the Board of Trustees of Sadat Academy and University and the Board of Directors of the Egyptian National Fund for Youth and Sports Activities. Additionally, as Chairman of the Egyptian Sailing Federation and a member of the National Sports Council, Khalil has played a pivotal role in advancing the sport of sailing in Egypt. His multifaceted contributions exemplify his commitment to excellence and service to society.
