Ahmed Khalil currently serves as the CEO of Raya Holding for Financial Investments. Khalil manages a diversified portfolio of investments that includes 11 companies that are controlled and managed by Raya operating in multiple sectors including tech, fintech, trade and distribution, food, hospitality, and automotive, with operations across four continents.
He serves as Vice Chairman on the supervisory board of Makarony Polskie, listed in Warsaw Stock Exchange and served on the boards of Fawry and Rameda Pharma.
Khalil brings 19 years of experience in sales, marketing, business development and general management to the role, as well as 16 years of board experience.
Khalil gained extensive retail experience as the head of a family retail business that he managed and grew into a successful home-grown chain of fashion apparel stores. After a three-year stint at Microsoft Egypt, Khalil took the helm across Raya’s recycling, food & beverage, and real estate sector investments, where he took part in the development of the Group’s recycling platform and successfully established the Raya F&B platform.
He also spearheaded the development of Raya Smart Buildings and its flagship facility, Galleria 40, and played an instrumental role in seeing it become one of Cairo’s premier commercial developments.
Khalil holds a master’s degree in business administration from Harvard University and a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a specialization in financial management and marketing from the American University in Cairo (AUC).
He is a graduate of the German School in Cairo, “DEO.”
